This tour will start around 8:00 pm.
From your hotel we will leave the centre of San Pedro Atacama to reach the ayllu of Sequitor.

Few kilometers outside of San Pedro Atacama we will install to observe with telescopes various constellations, planets, stars, and we will explain you their stories....
This tour will end at 10:00 pm.

Andean astronomy

This tour will start around 8:00 pm, from your hotel.
The indian culture of the Atacama desert used the stars as a life calendar : to understand the season changes, to grow plants and for harvest. According to the stars, the local rites found their natural rythm.
The Atacama indians had also their own way to observe and read the sky, based on the reading of the dark parts of the constellations. For them, each part of the visible universe have a meaning. |
The archaeo-astronomy or astro-archeaology is an important heritage who have to be shared with the new generations of astronomers and astronomy amateurs.
This tour will end at 10:00 pm.
