Archaeological tour Oasis : Quitor, Tulor and Catarpe

This tour starts around 7:00 am from your hotel.
Our first visit will be the Catarpe valley, where we will visit 3 archaeological major places from the "formative period", and in particular the Inca Catarpe tambo (administrative centre from the Inca period). After our lunch, we will continue our tour to the Pukara of Quitor. There, we will visit the old fortress of the atacamenian lords.

To end our expedition, we will visit the Aldea of Tulor, traditional houses who survived centuries, since their constructions around 400 years BC.
This tour will be guided by an archaeologist.
Back to your hotel around 1:30 pm.

Archaeo-astronomy

This tour is a mix of archaeological expedition and andean astronomical observation. Starts from your hotel around 2:00 pm.
Our first discovery will be the Matancilla valley, and then we will visit the andean village of Rio Grande, and wait for the sunset inside the archaeological site of Hierbas Buenas and its petroglyphs. |
After the sunset, we will begin our astronomical andean observation, in 3.500 meters height. We will learn more about the "andean cosmovision", about the local way to interpret the stars and the cosmic world.
This tour will be guided by an archaeologist.
